The Development

Villa Park is to be developed with the creation of a ‘world-class’ sporting venue and a thriving community hub.

The £100m+ first phase, expected to kick off in late 2023/ early 2024, will see a brand-new two-tiered North Stand that will wrap into a newly-enhanced Trinity Stand, offering improved hospitality, and food & beverage outlets, while bringing spectator capacity up to 50,065.

Outside, ‘Villa Live’ will become a standalone multi-use entertainment, community, and retail venue destination, housing the club shop, food and drink outlets, plus dedicated areas showing the club's rich heritage and history. Other works will see improved connectivity around the Witton Lane entrance & to the public space around the North Stand.

The current capacity of Villa Park is 42,785 with a waiting list of over 25,000 for season ticket holders, therefore the expansion should help with ticketing demand. Future Villa Park phases would uplift capacity to 53,000 through enhancements to both the Doug Ellis & Holte End, along with public realm improvements, ensuring the venue is included in any successful Euro 2028 bid.
