THE LAMPWORKS [2]

The Lampworks is a classy four-storey development comprising 23 apartments and a ground-level commercial unit.

Following a 'fabric first' approach to become a thermally efficient building & utilising renewable and low-carbon energy sources, Lampworks forms the second phase of the wider Lampworks development next door.

The U-shaped project will ultimately 'plug in' a gap site by positively reanimating the street. Designed with saw-tooth roofs replicating the area’s traditional heritage, Lampworks will feature green glazed brick at its base, and a cornice line set between the commercial and the residential, with exquisitely-designed green terracotta spandrel panels.

It will be set around a centralised courtyard, which will seamlessly link into phase one, and will accommodate a 126 sqm street-level commercial unit, 28 bicycle spaces, and 9 one- & 14 two-bedroom apartments (1-4 persons; 50-76 sqm), on the upper floors.
