All three phases at Enclave: Birmingham, on Lower Essex Street in Southside, are now well under construction and taking shape.

Enclave: Birmingham is a brand new 628 build-to-rent community coming to Southside.

Recently forward funded and acquired by Blackrock Alternatives alongside Outpost Management, who will open their third Enclave-branded scheme here, the development will be spread across three buildings of eight, 12 & 28 storeys (97.95m).

Mixing comfort, connectivity, and stylish interiors, Enclave will offer 306 one, 295 two & 27 three-bedroomed homes, with over 20K SF of amenities & outward-facing commercial, including space for a prominent LGBT charity.

Arranged around two landscaped gardens, residents will benefit from dining suites, lounges, workspaces, a gym, a cinema, a 3D simulation suite, plus a 9th-floor garden and top-floor amenity space on the tallest.

NBHD Heights - February Site Update

Five Ways Health Centre has now been demolished in anticipation of a new 14 storey residential development: NBHD Heights.

Neighbourhood Heights (NBHD) will become a brand new premium residential development at the forefront of the Ladywood regeneration zone.

Designed with two distinct stacked blocks, NBHD will rise to 14 storeys at the corner of Morville Street and will comprise 81 one- and two-bedroom apartments, offering a high-quality living environment for young professionals, families, and first-time buyers.

Mixing comfort, connectivity, and stylish interior design, residents will benefit from a communal lounge, workspaces, private ground floor gardens, and a dedicated residents' app to create clubs and forums, promote local businesses, manage tenancies, and more.

The crowning feature will be the rooftop amenity garden, which will offer spaces to grow food, exercise, socialise, and take in the ever-changing views.

The Health Centre has been demolished by Bluecon Group. An overview of the rest of the project team consists of Morville Street Developments Ltd, Glancy Nicholls Architects, PJ Planning, Quantem, SBK, Compass EG, ETME Group, and Alliance Investments.

The Bath House - February 2024 Update

The Bath House, on the site of the former 1930s Kent Street Swimming Baths located between Kent Street and Bromsgrove Street, is well on its way to completion.

The site is now home to four new PRS (private rental sector) blocks, with the tallest building topping out at 19 storeys, offering commanding views across the city.

In total, 406 studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and duplexes make up the accommodation mix here, richly complemented by a whole host of amenities.

With a concierge and co-working spaces available, at the heart of the site, however, will be a striking community hub and courtyard space for residents. This will deliver a vibrant and semi-enclosed space, perfect for socialising, exercising, and divulging in community events.

Affinity Living Lancaster Wharf: February 2024 Update

The structural frame at Affinity Living Lancaster Wharf is now starting its upward ascent.

With works to the foundations, piling and basement now complete, attention switches to the frame, which will rise up to 23 storeys.

Affinity Living, Select Property's brand and its first in Birmingham, will accommodate 266 one- and two-bed homes in a series of linked buildings of six to 23 storeys, one that also reactivates the canalside to cater to the demands of the Birmingham rental market.

The site will offer large living spaces with new hybrid ways of living and working for young professionals, complete with floor-to-ceiling glazing and fully integrated high-spec kitchens, in addition to a multitude of amenities.

The main amenity space will feature a selection of lounges and workspaces with floor-to-ceiling glazing looking out onto the site's new waterfront garden courtyard.

Wrapping around the site frontage, now taking shape in the images, will be a gymnasium, complemented by a sixth-floor roof terrace.

The scheme has been designed by Corstorphine + Wright and is being constructed by Torsion Construction alongside David Ashley Construction, and a whole host of subcontractors.
